Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Khan has been working as Financial Adviser in CDSP-IV Project since 01 January 2014. He is in charge of supervision of overall financial operations in the Project involving a large Finance Team consisting of 21 Accounts and Finance personnel with 4 from TA Team and the rest from five Implementing Agencies (IAs). Revised project cost of CDSP-IV is US$ 81.70 Millions comprising of IFAD Loan of US$ 47.35 Millions, GoN Grant of US$ 19.83 Millions, GoB contribution of US$ 13.71 Millions and US$ 0.81 Million of Beneficiary Contribution.
Born on 08 January 1963 in Bogra district in Bangladesh, Mr. Khan hails from Chittagong district. He got his Masters in Accounting degree from Dhaka University in 1992. He got his professional degree of Cost and Management Accounting (CMA) from The Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) in 1990. He is a Fellow Member (FCMA) of the ICMAB.
Mr. Khan started his career in June 1985 as an Audit Assistant and Accounts Officer in Rahman Rahman Huq, the pioneer Chartered Accountants firm in Bangladesh. He worked for four years as Chief Program Officer (Finance) in Business Advisory Services Center (BASC), an USAID Project in Dhaka engaged in development of private sector industries in Bangladesh. For two years since January 1997 he worked in Kuwait as Accounts and Finance In charge in Burhan Trading & Contracting Company and Kuwait Asphalt Plant – enterprises of a large group of companies in Kuwait. He started working as a full time Consultant from January 1999 in Bangladesh. He worked in the development sector in various capacities like Financial Analyst, Financial Adviser, Finance Director, Senior Municipal Finance Specialist specially in Water Sector and Environment. He served in a number of projects of UNDP, Bangladesh. Apart from USAID, he served in projects sponsored by other donor agencies like DANIDA, EC, AusAID, Norad etc.
